At Compita Toys & Gift, product safety is our priority. This Policy explains safety information for our plush toy collections, including Plushies, Comfort Food, GO! Vehicles, Holiday, and Spooky & Dark collectibles, as well as care, recalls, and product safety communications.

Our plush toys are designed as collectibles, comfort items, and decorative pieces. They should be used only for their intended purpose. Do not modify, alter, or misuse plush toys in any way that could compromise safety or product integrity.

2. Age Recommendations and Choking Hazards

Product listings include applicable age recommendations. Please review these carefully before purchase.

Some plush toys, particularly those in our Spooky & Dark, Holiday, and GO! Vehicles collections, may contain small parts, removable accessories, plastic eyes, buttons, zippers, stitching details, or embellishments that could present a choking hazard for children under 3 years of age. Keep small parts and accessories away from young children.

Customers are responsible for selecting age-appropriate products. Always supervise young children during play with plush toys.

3. Fire Safety and Flammability

Plush toys are made from fabric materials that may be sensitive to heat or open flame. Keep all plush toys away from open flames, fireplaces, candles, lighters, space heaters, and direct heat sources.

Our products are designed to comply with applicable flammability standards for soft toys in the markets where they are sold, including relevant U.S. and EU requirements.

4. Seams, Stitching, and Stuffing

Inspect plush toys regularly for signs of wear, including loose seams, torn fabric, or exposed stuffing. If a plush toy becomes damaged and stuffing or internal components are exposed, discontinue use immediately and repair or discard the item to prevent ingestion of filling materials by children or pets.

Do not pull on loose threads or embellishments, as this may cause seams to open.

5. Decorative Elements and Accessories

Some plush toys include attached or removable accessories such as bows, ribbons, bells, buttons, plastic parts, embroidered details, or seasonal decorations. These elements may become detached with rough or prolonged handling.

Exercise caution with plush toys featuring long ribbons, hanging ornaments, or fabric loops, as these may present an entanglement risk for young children. Do not place such items in cribs, bassinets, or near sleeping infants.

6. Allergies and Skin Sensitivity

Some individuals may experience skin sensitivity to certain fabrics, synthetic fibers, dyes, or finishes used in our plush toys. If you have known allergies or sensitivities, please review product descriptions and material information carefully before purchase. Discontinue use and consult a medical professional if skin irritation occurs.

7. Product Care and Cleaning

Follow all care instructions provided on the product label and any accompanying documentation.

Most plush toys are recommended for surface cleaning only with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not machine wash or submerge in water unless the product label expressly states the item is machine washable. Improper washing or drying may cause fabric damage, color bleeding, shrinkage, matted fur, loss of shape, rust on internal metal components, or damage to electronic elements if applicable.

Avoid exposure to harsh chemicals, bleach, or excessive heat unless expressly permitted by the care label. Air dry flat and reshape as needed. Do not iron or dry clean plush toys.

8. Product Recalls and Safety Notices

If we become aware of a product recall, safety notice, or corrective action affecting a product sold by us, we may contact affected customers using the contact information provided at the time of purchase. We may also provide instructions regarding repair, replacement, refund, disposal, or other corrective action.

10. EU Product Safety Information (Germany, Netherlands, Belgium)

For products sold to consumers in the European Union, applicable product safety, manufacturer, importer, responsible economic operator, warning, CE marking, and traceability information will be provided on the product, packaging, accompanying documentation, product page, or upon request where required by applicable law.
